Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the CTrend platform ("Service") provided by CTrend Ltd ("Company", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service to:
1.1. Spam and Unsolicited Messaging
- Send bulk unsolicited messages to contacts who have not opted in
- Harvest or scrape contact information for mass messaging
- Send identical or substantially similar messages to large numbers of recipients
- Use the Service for cold outreach without prior consent from recipients
1.2. Illegal or Harmful Content
- Distribute illegal content, including but not limited to: child exploitation material, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, or content that violates intellectual property rights
- Facilitate fraud, phishing, or social engineering attacks
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious software
- Engage in or promote money laundering, terrorism financing, or sanctions evasion
1.3. Harassment and Abuse
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any person
- Impersonate another person, organisation, or entity
- Stalk or monitor individuals without their knowledge and consent
- Send content that is discriminatory based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
1.4. Platform Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond the provided API
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security measures
- Share account credentials with unauthorised third parties
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
- Resell access to the Service without written authorisation
1.5. AI Agent Misuse
- Configure AI agents to impersonate real individuals without disclosure
- Use AI agents to generate and distribute misinformation or deepfakes
- Use AI agents to manipulate, deceive, or exploit vulnerable individuals
- Disable safety guardrails or escalation rules to prevent human oversight
1.6. Data Protection Violations
- Process personal data without a lawful basis under UK GDPR
- Collect sensitive personal data (health, political opinions, biometric data) through the Service without explicit consent and appropriate safeguards
- Transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards
- Fail to respond to data subject access requests received through the Service
2. Messaging Platform Rules
When using the Service with connected messaging channels, you must also comply with the respective platform's terms:
- WhatsApp: WhatsApp Business Policy and Commerce Policy
- Telegram: Telegram Terms of Service
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): Meta Platform Terms and Community Standards
- Email: CAN-SPAM Act, PECR, and applicable anti-spam legislation
Violations of messaging platform rules that result in number bans or account suspensions are the sole responsibility of the operator.
3. Fair Use
- The Service is designed for business-to-customer communication
- Message quotas are defined by your subscription plan
- Excessive usage that degrades the Service for other users may be throttled
- Automated messages must be clearly identified as automated where required by law
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to support@ctrend.co.uk.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Warn — notify you of the violation and request corrective action
- Suspend — temporarily restrict access to the Service pending investigation
- Terminate — permanently terminate your account for serious or repeated violations
- Report — report illegal activities to relevant law enforcement authorities
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is required to protect the Service, other users, or comply with legal obligations.
Enforcement decisions may be appealed by contacting support@ctrend.co.uk within 14 days.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
